Olly Murs’ mum has expressed her sadness at the fact her family has been torn apart by jealously since her chart topping lad found fame on The X Factor.

Vicky Lynn Murs, 55, says she is hearbroken that Olly and his 32-year-old twin brother Ben no longer speak to each other.

The upset has caused her so much strife that she feared she was on the verge of a breakdown at times.

“It was sucha shock it made me ill. I even thought I had MS – I had to use a walking stick because my legs were so weak,” she told The Sunday Times.

“I also couldn’t work. I was on the verge of a breakdown,” she feared.

Revealing she is cooping better now, she added: “I’m much better now but my heart is broken. Ben’s broken my heart, and his dad’s, but I will not hear anything against him, I don’t think he understands what he’s done. I’ll go on loving him and sticking up for him until I die.”

The family drama stems from the fact Olly chose to star on The X Factor rather than attend brother Ben’s wedding.

He has since disowned the Murs – but the family say the “door is always open” for him to be welcomed back.
