Olly Murs Talks X Factor Judging Role
Hand On Heart singer says he's focusing on music...
“Everyone keeps talking about me being a judge on the X Factor,” the Hand On Heart singer said during an appearance on This Morning. “I love TV, I miss that as well. I just wanted music to be the focus this year and it has been.”
Recalling his stint as an Xtra Factor presenter alongside Caroline Flack, he added: “I love TV, it’s amazing, but to try and juggle the two… I did it two years ago when I first did Xtra factor, it was so tough.”
Instead, Olly plans to spend the first half of 2014 concentrating on his album. “We did a bit of writing this summer,” he revealed. “Just to kind of get an idea of what I’m going to do next year, because I always like to do something different.”
“The success has been incredible and it’s all thanks to people buying the album,” he said of his accomplishments this year. And the ambitious 29 year old has no plans to slow down. “I think there’s so much more to achieve, I want to win Brits, I want to have a big, massive next album, and have more number ones and more tours,” he divulged.
But he’s certainly willing to at least consider a return to the show that made him into the pop star he is today. “We all know Simon [Cowell], we’ve met him, he’s a great guy and if he put an offer on the table I’d definitely look at it but I think for me [it’s] just music really,” said Olly.
