10 Musicians Who Dared To Hit Out At One Direction!

It seems not everyone on Planet Pop is a Directioner...

Throwing shade at One Direction is nothing new. Plenty of artists have embroiled themselves in a war of words with the world’s biggest boy band.

Here is a rundown of the celebrities who have found themselves on the wrong side of Directioner hate…

1. Catfish And The Bottlemen

Catfish And The Bottlemen’s Van McCann has become the latest star to hit out at the world’s biggest boy band, bizarrely after Louis Tomlinson said he was a fan.

Aiming his cannon directly at the 1D camp, Van voiced his qualms to The Sun Newspaper, saying: "We're here to f**k you lot off".

"You lot won a competition! I've sat in a band of seven years while you queued up outside Manchester Arena the did a bit of disco to a man behind a table who then put a few dollar bills down your jacket."

He concluded:"Everything they do is preconceived and controlled. It's live pantomime."

Jeez.

2. Noel Gallagher

[related]Someone who knows about world domination is Noel Gallagher, unfortunately the Oasis man isn’t a fan either…

After calling the band "f**king idiots"a few years back, Noel revealed the source of his frustration was all in the songwriting, telling Rolling Stone: "I've got to say, I have difficulties with people who don't write their own songs, who've got a team of songwriters who work for your record label."

3. Naughty Boy

The feud continues between Naughty Boy and 1D. The hit-making producer is accused of rehashing old material after teasing a Zayn Malik solo track online.

Admittedly,Naughty Boy hasn’t thrown too much shade at Harry, Niall andLiam, but did clash withLouis Tomlinson on Twitter following Zayn's exit from 1D after he apparently dissed the group.

4. Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake was quick to assure Directioners that it’s all love, but the damage had already been done.

The Suit & Tie lothario - who found fame with nineties mega band, NSYNC -joked to Vibe back in 2013: "I'll be willing to say that we're better than them but I'm not laying down any gauntlet.”

5.Hayley Williams

It was Paramore’s leading lady, Hayley Williams, who threw some pretty serious shade at the 1D boys.

The flame haired singer accused the band of ‘ripping off’ New Found Glory with ‘Steal My Girl’.

"Beginning of that new 1D song couldn't sound any more like the beginning of New Found Glory's 'It's Not Your Fault'," she wrote on Twitter.

"I realise that I'm gonna get hate from a very large fanbase for that, but really, it has more to do with whoever pitched or co-wrote the song."

She wasn’t wrong…

6. James Arthur

Who hasn’t James Arthur picked a fight with? That said, the X Factor star changed his tune after begging the Directioners for forgiveness earlier this year.

The singer - who recently covered Night Changes - took to Twitter with his disapproval, writing: "One Direction don't sell records, they are a marketing product."

7. Lorde

It turns out Lorde made a royal mistake when she hit out at team 1D, allegedly calling the band ‘overrated’ during an interview.

However, confusion does surround the commentsafter Lorde attended a 1D show in New Zealand, tweeting: “The weirdest lil goth at the one direction concert is meeeee.”

8. The Wanted

This rivalry will come as no surpriseto fans of both groups, the fierce feudbetween the two never really extinguished following abuse from both sides on Twitter.

It was apparently Tom Parker that kicked up the storm, accusing Louis of wanting to be a member of The Wanted, luckily he didn’t…

9. Kasabian

Carrying on the tradition of rock bands having a pop at 1D, Kasabian’s Tom Meighan took his chance to slam the lads for seemingly getting lucky.

The band let rip at the talent show stars at this years NME Awards in London (February 18), telling the Mail Online: "They're f***ing millionaires but they're five no-ones who won the lottery."

10. Jake Bugg

Jake Bugg isn’t one to mince his words or hold back his opinions and the Nottingham native didn’t when it came to One Direction either.

The singer made his point to Shortlist, telling the magazine: "People [call One Direction the new Beatles] because they broke America, but that don't mean a thing. I mean, [One Direction] must know that they're terrible."

Ouch...
