1D Estimated To Earn $1Billion From Stadium Tour
The lads are predicted to rake in the bucks next year...
One Direction will reportedly earn an estimated $1 billion (£610m) in 2014 from their forthcoming Where We Are Stadium tour.
According to The Daily Star, the X Factor boyband will break ticket records set by U2 and The Rolling Stones if they achieve the predicted ticket sales target.
1D have already scheduled 88 gigs next year, and will play stadiums across Europe, the US and South America.
A US rep for Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam told the tabloid: "Demand was so enormous for 'Where We Are' tickets that 21 American dates had to be added to the original schedule.
"It is absolutely conceivable that still more could be squeezed in before the end of 2014 but that will ultimately be up to the band and its management."
They continued: "Until now we hadn't even thought in terms of breaking records. But it would be amazing for 1D to climb to the very top of the tour league so early in the group's career.
"That would be a phenomenal testament to the loyalty and support of their fans."
One Direction also hit the headlines over the weekend after they were snapped shooting the video for Midnight Memories in London.
