One Direction have joked they are keen to recreate Miley Cyrus' raunchy Wrecking Ball video.

The lads - who confirmed details of [uuid=21fcfca7-b1fc-482b-b210-c91c03e1c332]their new single Story Of My Life yesterday[/uuid] (October 10) - were quizzed about their forthcoming promo on Australian radio show The Bump, where member Harry Styles revealed their Mi-Cy ambitions.

The curly-haired hunk joked: "We were thinking how we're gonna make a better video, and we thought we'll get a giant disco ball, all get on it naked and then swing from side to side."

Liam Payne then said: "I don't remember this conversation!"

However, he soon came round to the idea, adding: "I actually have got disco balls."

The lads are due to release Story Of My Life - the second cut from their third LP - on October 28.

1D announced the track on Twitter by [uuid=fddf3f9e-f1cd-4f1e-9270-353e9f51abf6]posting images from their childhood[/uuid], baring the title of the song.

Their new album, Midnight Memories, will be available from November 25.
