One Direction star Liam Payne has allegedly been forced to leave his £2million flat after a fire at the property.

As we previously reported, the Best Song Ever singer's pal - named on Twitter as Andy Samuels - suffered burns as a result of the accident, which occurred when he tried to re-fuel a patio heater on the terrace of Payne's flat.

Station Manager Laurie Kenny, who was at the scene, is quoted by The Mirror as saying: “Firefighters worked quickly and professionally to get the fire under control as quickly as possible. About 30 people left the building before we arrived and were not injured.

“Two of the ­occupants had superficial burns to their hands and the third had burns to his hands and face. All three have been taken to hospital."

Payne is yet to comment on the fire, with a spokesperson for the star saying: "We are not disclosing any information.”
