1D's Niall Talks 'Eye-Opening' Comic Relief Ghana Trip

Horan has urged fans to get involved with Red Nose Day in March...

One Directionstar Niall Horan has reached out to his nine million followers on Twitter to ask them to help those living in poverty in Ghana following the band's visit for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.
The Irish heartthrob took to the social-networking site to reveal about their emotional trip to the African country, writing: "Just arrived back from Accra, Ghana! Best life experience ever! This @rednoseday please get involved!
“I’ve seen the slums right in front of me! This is no joke! They really need your help! Poverty is real!”

He added: "Massive thanks to @rednoseday for taking us to Ghana! It was incredible! real eye opener! We take so much for granted over here !”

"Watch comic relief this @rednoseday , you are in for a shock and eye opener ! and fun too."

The X Factor boyband have recorded [uuid=e32828c5-ce3d-49f6-98e0-424dd9bbd5fe]this year's official Red Nose Day single[/uuid] - a cover of Blondie's One Way Or Another - with Harry Styles recently stating they are honoured to be releasing the charity track.
He said: "We have grown up with Comic Relief and taken part in lots of Red Nose Days at school so we were thrilled to be asked to do the Red Nose Day single.
“It’s such an honour for us. We can’t wait to perform our version of this iconic pop song and raise as much money as possible for this incredibly important cause that is really close to our hearts.”

1D's song goes on sale next month, ahead of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day on 15th March.
