One Direction heartthrob Demi Lovato his 'official girlfriend.'

A source told Look magazine: "Niall finds the distance between them really hard.

"It's part of the reason why they've tried to keep things casual, but they can't deny their feelings anymore and Niall says he'll do whatever it takes to make Demi his official girlfriend."

The insider added: "They speak on the phone every day and have talked about Demi going to Ireland in the New Year to meet his family."

She continued: "I don’t want a relationship over Skype; we are both in a place where we feel zero pressure to rush.

"We share the philosophy that the right one is worth waiting for.”
