One Direction star Little Mix star Perez Hiltonposted a video of the singer allegedly hitting on another girl at a hotel.

Despite a spokesman for Malik and Perrie refusing to comment on the reports, Zayn himself has apparently told friends on social messenger Kik that he did delete his Twitter page over the cheating allegations and 'rumours of me smoking weed.'

According to The Metro, The X Factor star wrote to pals: "Don’t worry about me, im fine. i just deleted my account because of all the hate i was getting just by tweeting something simple.

"And all the rumours of me smoking weed and cheating. i dont need to read any of that negativity."

The newspaper claims that a screen-shot of Zayn's private explanation soon started circulating on Twitter.

1D fans have been left distraught after the heartthrob left the website, with the phrases #comebackZayn and #Zayncomeback soon trending worldwide.

Perez Hilton has also been targeted by Directioners, with the blogger retweeting a series of abusive messages.

One fan wrote: "Directioners f***ing hateeee you mother f***er I hope youuu die! :@:@ leaveee zayn alone", while another added: "NO ONE LIKES YOU GO DIE."

Perez seemed unfazed by the slurs, simply tweeting: "THANK YOU for all the laughs ‪@OneDirection‬ fans! Muah!!!!!!!"
