One Direction are one of many names being thrown around at the moment to be performing at next year's Super Bowl halftime show...

It's on Feburary 7, 2016, so if the rumours are true then it would probably be one of the boys' last ever gigs before their break.

"NFL bosses want a superstar line-up and One Direction are very much in the mix," a source told the Daily Star on Sunday.

Adding: "They want a pop and rock mash-up and it is thought that Coldplay and Bruno Mars are in talks too."

Now if this were all to happen, here are just nine things we'd want to see during that magical 12 minute show:

1. The boys would all enter stage left wearing full NFL gear. Leggings included, obvs.

2. Zayn would return by jumping out of a cake.

3. Fetus days choreography would happen.

4. A Coldplay/1D supergroup would be formed and it would be glorious.

5. They'd perform a mash up of their most underrated songs. Including Rock Me, Little Black Dress and Clouds.

6. A thousand puppies would flood the stage, because nothing's cuter than hot guys and puppies.

7. Niall would be the left shark.

8. The audience all get a free t-shirt with a sassy Louis Tomlinson tweet of their choice printed on it.

9. Niall, Harry, Louis and Liam all realise they can't possibly go on a break, and announce a never-ending tour.
