A Track-By-Track Guide To One Direction's 'Made In The AM'
We're into it.
It's here, it's actually really here! One Direction have finally released their fifth album, Made In The AM, and it basically feels like christmas and our birthday all rolled into one.
So we figured this would be the perfect time to break down each and every track, and give it the undivided attention it really deserves.
1. Hey Angel
In a nutshell: We feel like we're in a One Direction/Coldplay wonderland listening to this, 10/10 opening track.
2. Drag Me Down
In a nutshell: This song is like a big punch in the face to anyone who's ever dared try to hold 1D back, and that's exactly why we can't get enough. Oh and Harry's high notes in it kinda help.
In a nutshell: It's no secret that this track is reportedly all about Harry Styles' brief relationship with Taylor Swift… But the jury's still out on that one. Either way rendezvous is now our new favourite word.
In a nutshell: Excellent song to run to. Also, shout-singing INFINITYYYYYYY never gets old, even for the poor guy sat opposite us.
5. End Of The Day
In a nutshell: We're crying silent tears knowing we may never get the chance to sing-a-long to this at a One Direction concert, because this one was made for a foot stomp. Right?
6. If I Could Fly
In a nutshell: OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD. We weren't prepared for this, and we totally aren't picturing them all stood around a piano smiling at each other. (Others think this is 'just too slow', fyi.)
7. Long Way Down
In a nutshell: We're just so chilled now.
8. Never Enough
In a nutshell: I'm sorry, is this THE LION KING? We're into it, but they should've left the Circle of Life at home. Note: This opinion is not shared by the entire MTV team.
In a nutshell: 1. Why is our name not Olivia. 2. How is it to change our name to Olivia? 3. To quote @unsocialbcniall: "OLIVIA IS THE TYPE OF SONG YOU HEAR IN THOSE MUSICALS WHEN THE PERSON IS INLOVE RUNNING AROUND THE PARK"
10. What A Feeling
In a nutshell: We'd quite like a music video to this one where they're in a moody forest and there's lots of dry ice. Don't judge.
11. Love You Goodbye
In a nutshell: "It's inevitable that everything good comes to an end," will never make us not want to eat a tub of Ben and Jerrys.
12. I Want To Write You A Song
In a nutshell: We're not completely sold on the pencil noise in the background, but the fact that Liam wants to build us a boat makes up for it.
In a nutshell: Yep, completely on board with this one. It's scientifically impossible to listen and then NOT sing it for the rest of the day. Fact.
14. Temporary Fix
In a nutshell: Ooh Niall you're so so so scandalous. Fast paced and back to their roots, this has got all the oomph a fan could dream of.
15. Walking In The Wind
In a nutshell: Reminiscing about the good times the song is one big promise that they will be back. Not like the Terminator or anything, but in a nice way.
In a nutshell: One Direction are basically telling us they are ninja warriors and can take anyone down. Or something like that.
In a nutshell: We. Don't. Want. This. To. End.
