Harry Styles: Best Man Speech Was 'Nerve-Wracking'
The 1D star reveals mum's wedding was toughest gig yet…
Despite currently playing to thousands of fans every night on their Take Me Home tour, Harry Styles has revealed that his most nerve-wracking gig was at his mum’s wedding in June.
The One Direction star was best man at his mum Anne Cox's marriage to Robin Twist, and he has told The Sun that giving his speech was, "The most nerve-racking thing I’ve ever done.”
Harry gave the speech in a restaurant in Congleton, Cheshire on his mum's big day, and told the tabloid:
“I practised on my own for days beforehand, on the sofa reciting it to myself. I tried to make it have a bit of everything.
Harry also admitted that his tattoo obsession has now got a bit out of hand, saying:
“I think [I've got] about 43 now but 20 of those are just squiggles.
“I know I’m going to start running out of body space, I’ll have to start on the inside. Perhaps I should have got a notepad first.”
The Best Song Ever singer revealed his mum isn't too keen on his ink, especially the ones on his hands, adding:
“She's like, ‘Oh what are you doing them on your hands for? What is it going to look like when you get married? No more on your hands please’.
“But if I ever get one that’s for her, she’s like, ‘I quite like that one’.
“It’s hard to regret them if they’re for family and friends. But I’ve got a few that are really badly done, like [my] Pink Floyd one.”
