Louis Walsh Reckons We'll Be One Directionless For Five Years & We're Not Convinced

How does he know?!

We all know that Louis Walsh is the ultimate boy band mogul, but we're not convinced by his latest opinion.

The former X Factor judge has spoken out on the recent news that One Direction will be taking a break in 2016, predicting it will be a whole FIVE YEARS before we hear from them again...

He told the Irish Mirror: "It’s not the end, they will give it five or six years I’d imagine and then they will get back together." Sorry, butwe simplydon't believe that.

With many decades of experience, the music managerhas been with the boys from the start as one of thejudges that helped put the band together.

Comparing the ladsto other boy bands, the 63-year-old reckons they're doing the right thing by taking a break at the top of their game, saying: “All the greats did it, like Westlife and Take That. It’s the best way to go out when you go out on a high and they have been phenomenal. They are global stars and their success has been amazing."

He added: “They have a connection with young kids like I’ve never seen before. I’ve never seen that connection with any other band."

Speaking about the news of the break up, Walsh continued: "Nothing has gone wrong, it’s just that they need a break. Touring constantly is exhausting and draining and you do get on each other’s nerves so it’s good to take time out."

See, he is on the same level as us in some ways, we're fed up of giving people the definition of a hiatus.

He also predictedthe future of the band, saying: "For me, Harry will be the biggest star, Liam is a brilliant songwriter and producer so he might go down that route while Louis might go into management or buy a record label. But Niall is the dark horse – if you ask me he’s the one to watch.”

Does anyone else think he's backing Niall because he's a fellow Irishman? Well, we'll just have to wait and see, although we've already predicted where they'll all end up...
