Louis Walsh Shares More Thoughts On One Direction Reuniting: 'They Won't Get Back Together For Ten Years'
A shocking turn of events, really.
Ever the optimist, Louis Walsh has turned Mystic Meg once again, sharing his totally positive outlook on what the future might hold for One Direction.
And, in a shocking turn of events, he’s (again) predicting that they won’t be staging a reunion.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Louis, who’s returning as a judge on The X Factor, admitted that Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik were ‘the best things to come out of the X Factor financially’.
However, he went on to claim that the now-four-piece won’t return from their hiatus, saying: “It's not going to happen, nope. No, definitely not. It's over, they had their run, all over. It's done and it was an amazing career.”
No thank you.
He did, though, backtrack slightly when asked about rumours that the boys will reunite next year, saying: “No, maybe in 10 years.”
Louis wasn’t done there, continuing on to talk about Simon Cowell’s history of success in the music industry, explaining: “Simon’s made so many people millionaires, but not everybody’s loyal to him.
“We create monsters in the music business – they only become famous because they’ve been on the show and we got you those songs. They’re lucky f**kers, but some get a sense of entitlement and believe the hype. Too many artists appear to forget where they came from.”
Asked if this was the case with our lovely One Direction, Louis claimed: “Some of them believed the hype and then everyone around them – publicists, agents, managers – were afraid to tell them because they were making so much money out of them.”
SIGH.
