Louis Walsh Slams One Direction, Admitting 'Simon Cowell Created Monsters' And 'Only Harry Styles Will Be A Solo Star'

You can always rely on Louis Walsh to speak his mind (he is an X Factor judge after all), but apparently he doesn't seem to care that he still has to sit on the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell for the next couple of months. 

During an interview with the Mail On Sunday, he managed to insult Simon Cowell AND the majority of One Direction by predicting the boy band's downfall and saying some cutting words about their solo careers. 

He admitted: "Too much money, too much success, too quickly. Simon [Cowell] created monsters and that was it. They all think they're going to be solo stars. They're not. Only Harry. That's it."

Seeing as 1D bandmember Niall Horan just released his first single, this isn't the most supportive thing to say Louis...

And if that wasn't enough shade-throwing for one sitting, he went on to predict 1D's future: "Then they'll be sorry they broke up and it'll be too late because there's another boy band. That always happens in boy bands."

We think you're forgetting that One Direction were one of the world's biggest pop groups, Louis! Although he's probably basing his predictions on his former boy bands Boyzone and Westlife who didn't all successfully make it as solo artists after their split. 

However, he did mention one positive thing about Liam Payne and his relationship with Cheryl. 

He admitted: "Can I be honest with you about Cheryl? I think Liam and Cheryl are going to work.

"He's a nice guy and he's in love with her. He'll make her happy. I think she was in a bad place over the last two years. And she brought her misery to The X Factor", he added.

Still, we reckon Simon isn't going to be pleased with you after hearing this, Louis...
