OMG! Have One Direction Really Agreed 'To Disband In March'?

Boy band reportedly won't tour their fifth album...

Kim Kardashian might not have managed to break the internet with her nudie pics, but we've got a feeling it might not survive the next 72 hours.

The Sun newspaper has reported that One Direction have agreed to go on an "extended hiatus" of at least a year, following crunch talks in London last weekend.

But before you start jumping to conclusions - the story also claims that they WILL get back together and that they would have taken the sabbatical even if Zayn Malik hadn't already jumped ship.

A source told the tabloid: "The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband.

"They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.

"It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future.

"But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world's most popular music act."

And they're apparently prepared to give it their all to promote their fifth albums - short of embarking on another monster world tour of course.

"Simon Cowell and his team at Syco couldn't be more excited about the album," the source added.

"They believe there are at least three smash hit songs and they've got the boys to stay together for a few weeks beyond the end of the year to make the album a huge success.

"But there was a meeting recently where it was agreed there would be no tour for the album.

"That was a big call because it means come March, Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall will be free agents for the first time in five years."

So what's likely to be in store for the lads?

Louis is reportedly lined-up for a role on The X Factor next year while Harry is apparently being groomed for a solo career. Niall is also claimed to be interested in recording solo material, but Liam is reportedly more keen on developing production experience and DJing.
