In the track, the lads sing: "It's now or never, don't overthink, just let it go, and if we get together, get together, don't let the pictures leave your phone."
1D member Louis Tomlinson has since defended their lyrics, stating that some of their songs are only inappropriate if you "want to read them with a dirty mind".
He is quoted by BBC Newsbeat as saying: "The thing is with the way the lyrics read, they read how you want them to read. If you want to read them with a dirty mind, fair enough.
"But if not, it can mean a completely different thing."
Harry Styles added: "I think you read into it what you will. We are 18, 19 and 20-year-old boys. The fans seem to like it, so it's all good."
Earlier this week, the lads confirmed that [uuid=382bc3b7-ee16-42fa-8cfe-6f587204374d]they will be performing[/uuid] their Comic Relief single, a cover of Blondie's One Way Or Another, at The Brit Awards 2013 on 20th February.
