One Direction Get £20k Guitar Gift
Support act Boyce Avenue say thank you with custom-made instruments...
It seems the One Direction lads aren't just popular with their fans - the boys have taken delivery of £20,000 worth of guitars as a gift from a support act.
According to The Sun, US rockers Boyce Avenue splashed out on the custom-made guitars as a thank you to 1D for booking them as support on their UK tour.
But the boys will have to take a few lessons if they want to take advantage of the Taylor axes, because only Niall Horan can actually play.
A source told the paper: "The 1D boys were really grateful but it was a bit of a pointless present as only Niall can play guitar.
"Harry, Liam, Zayn and Louis are now desperately trying to learn because it was a really kind gift."
The insider added: "Boyce Avenue got each guitar engraved with a personal message so the boys would remember the tour. That's definitely made the rest of 1D feel obliged to learn a few chords now."
After getting a shout out from Chris Martin last week, perhaps Harry Styles can ask the Coldplay frontman for a few pointers.
