One Direction Invite You To Remix ‘Steal My Girl’
Talenthouse launch competition in collaboration with the band to revamp their latest single...
One Direction is offering budding producers in the UK the opportunity to remix their brand new single Steal My Girl.
The winner of the competition in association with Talenthouse will win £1500 and exposure of their track to 1D's millions of social followers.
Liam Payne, who has already tried his hand at remixing - check out his mix of Cheryl's I Don't Care here - under the moniker 'Big Payno' said: “I really enjoyed remixing ‘Steal My Girl’ with Afterhrs, I love seeing just how different the track can sound and I’d really love to see other people’s interpretations of it too – that’s why we decided to run the competition. I’ve done quite a chilled version, would be great to see an upfront Friday night club track to get everyone on the dance floor moving!’
Liam and the rest of the band will personally select one winning producer, alongside their guest judges including senior A&R and Sony Music radio execs. Producers have until 7 November, 10am GMT to submit and upload their ‘Steal My Girl’ remix here. Two highly commended producers and one highest voted will receive £500.
Earlier today, 1D have been teasing us senseless with an acoustic version of Steal My Girl, plus some sneak peek pics of the shoot from the music video.
Video producer Ben Winston previously said of the clip: "It's quite an exciting video. You should expect the unexpected on this one. It's weird and wonderful."
