One Direction Make Memories With Fastest Selling Album of 2013

The boys even beat their own record...

There’s only one direction that One Direction’s latest album Midnight Memories is already on track to be the fastest selling album of the year, Music Week has reported.

With two full days left before the charts are announced, the 1D boys have already sold 187,660 copies, over 100,000 copies ahead of their nearest rival, Gary Barlow’s Since I Saw You Last.
As well as beating Daft Punk’s record – until this week the French electronic music duo had the fastest selling album of 2013 – One Direction have also beaten their own record, with Midnight Memories selling more in its first week of release than either of their first or second albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home.
Sadly one record they will have missed out on by just 7 days is having the UK’s 1000th number one album – that honour went to Robbie Williams last week for Swing Both Ways.
