One Direction’s new album FOUR has made US chart history.

Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam have become the first ever band to debut at the top of the US Billboard chart with each of their first four albums.

[related]With worldwide sales of over two million in its first week, FOUR also hit the top spot in the UK, US, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece and Japan.

The boyband's fourth studio LP also hit total No.1 on iTunes in an incredible 85 countries, surpassing their previous album Midnight Memories, which was the biggest selling album of 2013.

On Spotify, FOUR was streamed 29.3 million times around the world last week, with the record becoming the largest ever first week stream in the US with 11.6 million streams.

The band also reached a milestone withSpotifyas they hit 1 billion total streams, joining an elite handful of superstars to reach this feat.

In 2015, One Direction will once again take to the road for their second worldwide stadium tour in as many years – as well as Europe, Australia and North America, the tour will see the band returning to Asia and visiting the UAE and South Africa for the very first time.
