One Direction: This Is Us Premiere In New York City
Boyband draw a crowd of thousands to opening of documentary film...
One Direction's debut feature film This Is Us may have been shot in colour and 3D, but the boys from the band went black and white for its New York City premiere yesterday evening.
The fivesome were met by thousands of screaming fans as they walked the black carpet at the Ziegfield Theatre in the Big Apple, and took plenty of time to have their photos taken with the eager crowd members.
Many thousands more Directioners watched the event on a live internet stream courtesy of Yahoo! - with the web company's interviewer asking them about documentary filming.
Niall Horan replied: "The best stuff you get is raw."
They also revealed that they had been excited to attend the MTV VMAs the night before - with Liam Payne and Zayn Malik particularly stoked to have a chinwag with their hip-hop heroes Jay-Z and P Diddy.
But Harry Styles admitted he had sloped off after the event rather than sticking around to mingle with the other celebs.
He said: "I went for a quiet dinner."
We told you yesterday how 1D were comforted by Lady GaGa after getting booed at the VMAs.
