One Direction To Tour In Scooby Doo Van?
Report claims the boys will travel the US in their very own Mystery Machine...
Some stars take private jets, others prefer state-of-the-art tour buses - but One Direction have reportedly opted to cross the US in a Mystery Machine.
According to The Mirror, the 1D lads hope to hit the road in a customised replica of the famous Scooby Doo campervan, and are forking out £70k on getting their new wheels ready.
The paper claims the boys are having the green and blue van "wrapped", with the famous 1D logo stamped on the bodywork.
And to keep the band from getting bored, it's thought a massive plasma screen will cover one wall, along with individual entertainment consoles for the long US road trips.
An insider told the publication: "The boys love cartoons and Scooby Doo is a cult classic. They wanted to do something special ahead of their US tour and decided to get a bespoke tour bus created.
"The guys are desperate to have it shipped over to America so it can join them on tour. Scooby's obviously a US import and massive out there so they know the van will be a hit with both the fans - and their mums."
The source suggested that should management decide the camper is too "expensive and impractical", it could still be used as a fun vehicle for transporting the lads here in the UK.
Yesterday a poster for the band's upcoming 3D movie was released, featuring a backdrop of fan's snaps.
