One Direction 'Told Off By Police In New York'
After Louis was caught hanging out of a moving car's sunroof...
One Direction found themselves in a spot of bother earlier this week, after they were told off by police in New York.
According to The Sun, the boyband's car was pulled over by the NYPD after Louis Tomlinson stood up outside the sunroof while the vehicle was still moving to film himself singing - with the footage thought to be for their forthcoming 3D movie.
The police then stopped 1D's car to give the boys a telling off, which caused grid lock on the busy Big Apple street.
A source told the newspaper: "Louis and the lads are having a great time in the Big Apple and want to capture every minute.
“Louis was only standing through the sunroof momentarily but it was long enough to catch the eye of the cops. He may have found it funny but motorists stuck in a traffic jam certainly didn’t.”
The Little Things band were then let off with a warning, with Tomlinson and bandmate Niall Horan later posing for pictures with the cops.
In other One Direction news, Tomlinson isn't the only member of the The X Factor group to find himself in trouble in New York, with staff at the Empire State Building hitting back at Liam Payne after he slammed their manners on Twitter.
The landmark's media team wrote: "@Real_Liam_Payne bad behaviour not accepted at ESB. No, our security does not know who you are, and does not care."
Payne then took back his previous comments, tweeting: "Seems there was a bit of a mix up when I was at the empire state. Its all good. Sorry for confusion looking fwd to next timeeeee!
"I would like to formally apologise to the Empire State Building security team and its owners for our misunderstanding the other night.
"I didn't mean to cause anyone any problems and hope that I can come back again for a visit again in the future :)."
