One Direction: We Get Asked To Take Down Drunk Tweets

Boy band stars admit they miss their online rows with The Wanted...

The members of One Direction have confessed that their managers have often asked them to remove messages they've posted on social media while under the influence.

Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne got onto the subject of tweeting while tipsy in an interview with Radio 1's Scott Mills - and admitted that they relish an online scrap.

"I've been told to take many down, yeah," Louis confessed.

And Liam added: "I have a few drunken rants sometimes on Twitter... Yeah they are quite deep. Sometimes I go in hard - it's not good.

"Then I wake the next morning and it's like - ahhh, old news."

And Louis explained that it has happened: "Whenever we've got into the occasional Twitter row, which back in the day we used to love."

When DJ Mills observed that The Wanted are no longer available as online sparring partners, Louis said: "Yeah I know, it's a shame."

And even nice Niall Horan chimed in: "I'm gutted myself."

Getting deeper, Liam observed that there is a dark side to social media - though he stressed that the band had so much to thank it for.

"Sometimes they can be horrible places, with the wrong people on there," he said.

"You tend to notice the bad things on there, but that's the thing, you have to waiver those out and notice the good things.

"How can we have a hate relationship with social media when it's made us into this little monster?"
