One Direction's Harry Styles have stated they would be 'foolish' to compare themselves to The Beatles.

The X Factor boyband have been heavily compared to the Fab Four, especially when it comes to their worldwide success and the hysteria caused by their fans when arriving in the US.

Styles has since admitted to Top of the Pops magazine that his band do not see themselves on the same level as The Beatles when it comes to music.

Hazza told the publication: "We all sat and watched the film of [The Beatles] arriving in America, and to be honest, that really was like us. Stepping off the plane, the girls, the madness.

"It was exactly the same as when we got there, just 50 years earlier. But none of us think we're in the same league as them music-wise."

The 20-year old heartthrob went on to add: "We'd be total fools if we did. Fame-wise, it's probably even bigger, but we don't stand anywhere near them in terms of music."
