Taylor Swift has been branded the Yoko Ono of One Direction over her romance with singer Harry Styles.
According to The Sun, there are fears that her relationship with Styles could lead to trouble in the 1D camp, much like how John Lennon's widow was blamed for The Beatles break-up in 1970.
The comparison is thought to have stemmed from Harry's decision to travel to London from New York in the 22-year old's private jet on Saturday (8th December) instead of flying with Zayn, Niall, Louis and Liam ahead of their appearance at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball.
Upon arrival at London's O2 Arena, the tabloid claims Swift was taken away to a VIP area out of sight of fans so she could watch her man in action.
A source revealed: "Her presence has stirred tensions in the band as Harry’s now spending most of his time with her, and jetted into the gig on her private jet instead of coming in with the rest of the lads.
"There was loads of room for the rest of the band in Taylor's luxury jet but he didn't even suggest they travelled together."
The insider added: "It's really not far off from the Yoko situation."
Harry first went public with Taylor after they were spotted on a romantic stroll in NYC last weekend, and have been inseparable ever since.
The 18-year old has since been warned not to break Taylor's heart - as she has a history of writing tunes about her previous conquests.
Head of her Sony Nashville label, Troy Tomlinson, said: “If you’re going to do Taylor Swift wrong as a boy, you’ll wind up in a song.”
In other 1D news, the lads performed new single Kiss You on The X Factor 2012 final last night - with Zayn looking clearly annoyed after his mic appeared to fail during his solo.
