US Boy Band Get Death Threats Over 1D Lawsuit
Californian band feel the wrath of 1D's loyal fans...
An American boy band suing One Direction have reportedly been receiving death threats from British fans of the former X Factor contestants.
The US five-piece decided to take legal action against Sony and Syco over the use of the name One Direction and are said to be seeking £630,000 in damages.
According to The Sun, the band are now facing the wrath of 1D fans.
Frontman Sean O'Leary told the paper: "There has been so much hate mail, like people threatening to cut our b***s off."
The eighteen-year-old added: "The one that stands out for me is a girl saying she wanted to kill my father."
The Californian teenagers insist they have been using the name One Direction since 2009 and, while they confessed to having "huge respect" for their British counterparts, are determined to stand firm against the might of Simon Cowell.
Meanwhile Harry, Zayn, Niall, Liam and Louis have been living it up in Australia where they have already been mobbed by fans.
