Zayn Malik's Mum Joins Twitter, Hits Out At Trolls
Tricia Malik has leapt to the 1D star's defence on social-networking site...
One Directionstar Zayn Malik's mum has reportedly joined Twitter in a bid to protect her son from internet trolls.
According to The Sun, Tricia Malik joined the social-networking site after Zayn was targeted for his Muslim religion and Asian background.
The Kiss You singer previously quit Twitter last year after he was called a terrorist by haters, writing: "The reason I don't tweet as much as i use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter.
"My fans that have something nice to say can tweet me on the one direction account. :) x"
However, Malik soon returned to the website, with his mum now hitting back at those who continue to send him abuse.
Responding to one user, Tricia is quoted by the tabloid as writing: "Hope you’re happy now Zayn noticed your tweet! You can’t even imagine how it made him upset, you psycho.”
The 41-year old - who already has 39,000 followers - went on to tell his fans that she's urged Zayn to ignore the negative comments, adding: "My son is strong enough.”
