The Oscars Hills Were Alive With The Sound Of Gaga!
Mother Monster took to the stage for a Sound Of Music medley and was joined by a very special guest...
The newly-engaged songstress took to the stage to deliver several songs from the 1965 classic, and after her stint, was met with a roaring standing ovation from the crowd.
Mother Monster was then joined on stage by Julie Andrews - who played Maria in the flick - giving Lady G a huge hug at the end of her performance.
Andrews then tearfully said: “Thank you Lady Gaga for that wonderful performance. It really warmed my heart, it really did.
“It's hard to believe that 50 years have gone by since that joyous film was released. I blinked and suddenly here I am.”
She added: "I do think that I speak for everyone connected with the movie when I say we all really felt blessed to have been a part of it. And as for me, well, how lucky can a girl get."
Gaga took to Twitter after her performance, posting a snap of herself sprawled out on the floor, along with the caption: “Me right now. What a night. Congratulations to all the nominees, performers, and winners! Let's party!”

And, man of the moment Sam Smith went on to praise Lady G’s performance, taking to Instagram to write: “Legitimately just cried my eyes out at @ladygaga 's Oscar performance. Especially when Julie Andrews walked out. Bravo gorgeous x Bravo."
We couldn’t have said it better ourself Sam!
