Ouya Console Entering Development Phase
Kits going out to developers before the end of the year, company reveals...

The eagerly awaited Android-based games console Ouya is now moving into its development stage, it has been announced.
The company's CEO Julie Uhrman has said that developer kits should be going out by December, with the project currently undergoing Engineering Verification Testing.
Writing on the project's blog, she also revealed that the console would be running the latest Android operating system, Jelly Bean.
"We're making the jump from the old version, Ice Cream Sandwich, to ensure that we're running on the most up-to-date software available," she explained.
The console is expected to sell for $99 in the US when launched.
