Red Hot Chili Peppers have declared the Irish the best fans in the world.
In an interview with MTV News at Oxegen festival, drummer Chad from the giant band heaped praise on the Emerald Isle. Were very fond of the Irish, said Chad. Ireland is beautiful, it has beautiful countryside. We've been coming to Ireland for many years now and they're the best and most passionate audiences, they love it.
The Peppers drummer went on to talk about the bands pre gig rituals. We just kind of hang out and connect and talk to see how everyone is feeling. We put all our hands in a circle, feel each others energy, get everybody in the same place and then go up there and tear it up.
And tear it up they did as Sunday nights Oxegen headliners.
