Charity gigs across the country to include Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons and The Kooks...
40,000 musicians and an audience of 300,000 are expected to take part in music events in October for Oxjam, the biggest music festival ever in the UK!
Big names already involved include Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons, DJ Shadow, Kasabian and The Kooks.
Kooks singer Luke Pritchard said: "A thousand events and 500,000 for Oxfam last year proved that music can make a difference to the world's poorest people"
Oxjam will produce the equivalent of 500 days of continuous music, all raising money to fight poverty around the world.
Serge Pizzorno from Kasabian joined the call: "The idea of people using their love of music to create such great events for such a great cause as Oxfam is inspiring."
MTV is also involved in the initiative with our Get Seen, Get Heard campaign. The Top 5 show premieres on Saturday July 7 at midday on MTV and at 11pm on MTV2.
