EXCLUSIVE: P Diddy Speaks Out
We asked Puff how he's feeling in light of his and Snoop's cancelled UK gigs...
P Diddy has told MTV he and Snoop were in "utter shock" when they heard yesterday (March 26) that they had to cancel their UK shows.
"Snoop had (already) received the proper papers (to allow him to enter the UK) - it was the reason we decided to go ahead with the concerts - so when we heard he'd been denied we were extremely surprised," Puff told us. "Especially as the concept of this tour is about bringing people together and stopping violence."
He went on, "Myself and Snoop represent ourselves as role models and with the situation (teen gun and knife crime)
as it is in the UK, we thought it was the perfect time to bring such a positive message through the concert. We've gone all over the world without any incident."
And in what will come as a blow to the pair's UK fans, Diddy revealed they had an extra special show planned.
"I was flying in Elephant Man, Cassie and Fat Joe. I wish the government had changed their minds," he said, before assuring fans this isn't the last they've heard of the 'One Love Peace' tour.
"One day we'll be back to do the best show you've ever seen. If y'all want us then make sure you tell the government to let us in... We just want to say we're so sorry."
In light of the cancelled shows, Diddy is still planning to spend the next four days in the UK, "sight-seeing, meeting people and getting ready for the Ireland concerts."
