Paramore were forced to cancel two shows in Texas after leading lady Hayley Williams was diagnosed with a chest infection and exhaustion.

Williams made the announcement on their official website aftergigs in Corpus Christi and Dallas on August 4 and 5 were scrapped.

[related]The Still Into You singer said in the statement: "Words in this tiny little message cannot begin to express my frustration, sadness and overall loopiness (the latter is likely just from the cortisone and antibiotics, ugh).

"I absolutely hate cancelling anything. Admitting defeat is a tough thing for this gal... Thanks for understanding as much as you can. Of course, any frustration on your part is totally understandable. I'm thankful for all the 'get well soon's and all the love I've seen online."

Hayley went on to add that she expects to return to the stage in Albuquerquetonight (August 7), adding: "As for the rest of the tour, it is still on. Doctor thinks I'll be good to go."

The 25-year old concluded that she hopes Paramore will return to Texas "as soon as (they) can".

Williams and Co are still due to perform at this month's Reading and Leeds Festivals, where they are co-headlining with Queens of the Stone Age
