Sir Paul McCartney has been hospitalised with a viral infection.
Earlier this week, The Beatles legend was forced to cancel the remaining dates of his Japanese tour due to a suspected virus, with McCartney expressing his disappointment at letting his fans down.
Reps for Paul have since issued a statement confirming that the singer is receiving medical treatment for his condition.
His spokesperson said: "Since contracting a virus that led to the postponement of tour dates, Paul received successful medical treatment at a hospital in Tokyo.
"He will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days' rest. Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages."
Everybody gonna feel alright
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Everybody gonna dance around
Everybody gonna hit the ground
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Well you can come on to my place if you want to
You can do anything you wanna do
Everybody gonna dance tonight
Everybody gonna feel alright
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Well you can come on to my place if you want to
You can do anything you wanna do
Everybody gonna stamp their feet
Everybody's gonna feel the beat
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Everybody's gonna dance tonight
Everybody gonna feel alright
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Everybody gonna jump and shout
Everybody's gonna sing it out
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Well you can come on to my place if you want to
You can do anything you wanna do
Everybody gonna dance tonight
Everybody gonna feel alright
Everybody gonna dance around tonight
Everybody's gonna dance around tonight
And everybody's gonna feel alright tonight
Despite his ill health, McCartney is still scheduled to kick off the US leg of his Out There tour in Lubbock, TX on June 14.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
