Sir Paul McCartney Working With Halo Studio Bungie
Halo games.
The former Beatle revealed via his Twitter feed that he has been composing music for an as-yet-unknown project.
He wrote: "I'm really excited to be working on writing music with Bungie, the studio that made Halo."
And he accompanied the message with a picture of himself with resident Bungie composer Martin O'Donnell.
The company hasn't confirmed which project Macca is working on, but it will not be the forthcoming Halo 4 game - because that is being developed by a different company.
In other Halo news, the studio which is now developing the franchise - 343 Industries - is also claimed to be developing a 10th anniversary version of Halo 2.
OXM magazine said: "Following the success of [the] remake [of] Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2: Anniversary."
The updated game is predicted to be released in 2014, offering HD visuals and co-operative and online play.
