Some of music’s biggest stars have lost millions in the credit crunch- according to The Sunday Times Rich List.

According to the paper Sir Elton John’s fortune has fallen from £235m to £175m in the last twelve months.

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has lost £60 million and is down to his last £440m.

But winners in the past year include Duffy who has reportedly made £4 million putting her at number 16 on the young music millionaires list.

Cheryl Cole has also apparently made millions in the past year from her Girls Aloud work and appearing as a judge on X Factor.

The Sunday Times says Amy Winehouse and Robbie Williams have meanwhile been hit hard by the economic climate.
