Yesterday's Q Awards brought out all of the expected celeb sniping
Host for the afternoon Jonathan Ross started it all of in shocking style by calling Former model Heather Mills McCartney a F****** liar and said he wouldnt be surprised if he found out she had two legs!
Though the comment has angered disability groups, the music loving audience laughed and cheered at the jibe, as a clear show of support for former Beatles man Paul McCartney.
He went on to softer material, saying Madonna's not the only celebrity whos spent millions rescuing a boy from destitution and poverty. Look at what Robbie Williams did for Jonathan Wilkes referring, of course, to Robbies celebrity hanger on.
All this verbal frivolity comes just days after the outspoken chat show host was cleared of breaching TV rules when he asked Conservative leader David Cameron if he had enjoyed sexual fantasies about Maggie Thatcher as a teen! As horrific a thought as that is, its reassuring to know that at least Wossys pwepared to widicule evwione.
The evening continued in fine form with Amy Winehouse and MTVs very own Russell Brand arguing over who had the largest hair. That lasted until Winehouse, probably angered by the fact that Russells clearly got the biggest barnet, got a little excited on the vino and started screaming for U2s Bono to Shut Up! as he was awarded his Award of Awards Award " maybe she should save her outbursts for whoever named the evenings gongs.
No ceremony would be complete, however, without a bit of Gallagher action. This time it was big brother Noel, fresh from picking up his 'Best Act in the World Today' award, who revealed the contents of a grovelling email from Robbie Williams who was apologising for recording a song slagging off Liam. He responded with true Gallagher eloquence, telling The Sun: He can f*** right off. I dont give a f*** what he thinks and I dont give a f*** about him. No real surprises there then.
There is still the hope for love in celebrity Heaven, however, as Primal Scream front man Bobbie Gillespie, fresh from picking up his 'Q Groundbreaker' gong, revealed that Kate Moss and her cross-dressing lover Pete Doherty are definitely getting hitched. I saw the engagement ring, he told The Mirror, and, oh my God, its huge! Let's hope thats the only pricey rock the couple have shared of late
