Fast & Furious Star Paul Walker Killed In Car Crash

Co-stars, fans and colleagues pay tribute to 40-year-old actor...

Actor Paul Walker has been killed in a car crash in California, it has been confirmed.
The 40-year-old star, best known for his role as police officer Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movies, was the passenger in a Porsche sports car which may have hit a tree in Santa Clarita yesterday.
Emergency services found the vehicle engulfed in flames on their arrival - and both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
A statement on Walker's Facebook page read: "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.
"He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.
"Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences."
And his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel paid tribute on Instagram, writing: "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."
Universal Pictures, which makes the illegal street racing movies, issued a tribute to Walker.
"All of us at Universal are heartbroken," the statement read.
"Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans.
"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

Walker recently [uuid=2018e2e5-f86a-4f22-b60a-5b4f6e8d2ae8]confirmed an eighth Fast & Furious movie[/uuid] would be made.
