Paul Walker Death Driver's Wife Sues Porsche
Spouse of the late Roger Rodas taking legal action over tragic double death crash...
Kristine Rodas, who was married to Fast & Furious star Walker's close friend Roger Rodas, has filed a legal case arguing that defects in his car's design caused the tragic accident.
She alleges that Rodas' 2005 Porsche Carrera GT did not have a proper crash protection cage and that it lacked a fuel safety feature which could have stopped the petrol tank igniting.
Her lawsuit also claims there were defects in the suspension of the high-powered vehicle, which she claims contributed to the crash in Santa Clarita, California.
The case reads: "The Carrera GT was unsafe for its intended use by reason of defects in its manufacture, design, testing, component and constituents, so that it would not safely serve its purpose."
And her lawyer Mark Geragos, who has previously represented Chris Brown, Michael Jackson and Winona Ryder, is claimed by The Hollywood Reporter to be taking issue with the assertion that Rodas was speeding at 94mph before the crash.
An inquiry into the deaths in March concluded that it was speed rather than faulty mechanics which caused the accident.
Meanwhile rapper Ludacris has been speaking about working alongside the late PW's brothers on Fast & Furious 7.
Caleb and Cody Walker have been standing in for Paul in unfinished scenes from the action movie.
He told Ellen DeGeneres: "It's definitely a good thing, It's scary how much they look like him and sound like him."
And he said the cast and crew were still hurting from the popular star's death.
"It's definitely very difficult, we're all still healing from it and there's a void when we go to set, but we understand we have to carry on his legacy."
