Vin Diesel spilled the beans last night.

The statement also suggested that fans would have a final chance to catch Paul Walker on the big screen: "Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7,” it read.

The film’s fate was in the balance after Paul, one of its leading actors, tragically died in a car accident in Los Angeles on 30th November. He was on a break from filming when the accident happened.

Earlier this month Universal, who are producing the movie, shut down production to allow cast and crew time to grieve. The shut down also gave them time to decide how to finish the film, which was scheduled for release in summer 2014.

Last night Vin Diesel announced that Fast & Furious 7 would be released on 10th April 2015.
