Thousands Gather For Paul Walker Street Memorial
Modified cars parade past scene of Fast & Furious actor's death...
Thousands of fans gathered yesterday for a memorial to the late actor Paul Walker on the street where he lost his life a week beforehand.
Planned via social media, the unofficial gathering saw fans, friends and modified car enthusiasts meeting up in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita.
Queues of cars stretched for miles as the drivers waited for the opportunity to drive past the mourners and pay their respects to the much-loved actor.
Walker, 40, died alongside friend Roger Rodas when Rodas' high-powered Porsche hit a tree and burst into flames last Saturday afternoon.
Gardener Edi Maya told KABC-TV that she used to chat with Walker when she was working near his home.
"I work next to his house every week, twice a week. Seeing those candles there, it's heartbreaking."
Many fans signed the side of a truck which was adorned with a huge picture of Walker and Rodas, while others left tributes of flowers and ornaments.
