Tyrese Gibson Opens Up On Paul Walker's Death
Fast & Furious co-star says team behind movies were in 'shock and trauma'...
Paul Walker in a TV interview.
Speaking to Arsenio Hall, the actor and singer opened up about the effect the tragic news had on the cast and crew of the film franchise.
"I've never been depressed in my life but I was very, very sad and down, it took me a minute to shake it", Gibson said.
"I was with him just four days before it happened. We was on the set shooting, and that was a lot of shock and trauma for the family and all of us involved, because he's such a nice guy.
"A lot of times we can take people praying for us for granted but it's really a form of rebuilding when you're in pain and you're confused and going through things.
"And so, all of the prayers and tweets and posts and Instagram, that you've sent all of us, we love y'all and appreciate y'all."
But the 35-year-old revealed that he had drawn his inspiration to cope with the tragedy from Walker himself.
"What gave me my smile again is really thinking about the fact I've never seen him cry, never seen him sad and his energy was always up so I'm like, why would I be crying and sad and messed up."
Paul Walker died at the age of 40 in a car crash with his friend Roger Rodas.
