Peaches Geldof's body has been released to her family to allow for funeral plans to be made.

Earlier this week, it emerged that a post-mortem into her death had proved inconclusive, which further toxicology test results not expected for another two to three weeks.

A spokesperson for North West Kent coroner, Roger Hatch, has since stated: "We can confirm that the body has been released to the family for funeral arrangements to be made."

BBC News adds that any inquest into the 25-year old's sudden passing will be opened and adjourned by the coroner until after the results of the toxicology test results are revealed.
