Peaches Geldof's Hubby Performed Emotional Tribute At Funeral
Thomas Cohen apparently sung a heartfelt rendition of Leonard Cohen's track, 'Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye'...
Details from Peaches Geldof funeral have emerged online, with reports suggesting that hubby Thomas Cohen performed an emotional tribute for his late wife.
According to The Mirror, the S.C.U.M frontman sang Leonard Cohen's hit Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye, with musician Jools Holland - who is a friend of her father Bob Geldof - also playing the piano at the service.
It is thought that Queen drummer Roger Taylor also performed a tune at the funeral, which was held at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church - the same place her mother Paula Yates' funeral took place - on Monday (April 21).
A source told the tabloid: "It felt like a gig. It was so lovely, a real celebration of her life. Tom was brave to sing as he was tremendously upset.”
Friend and record label boss Alan McGee added: "It was incredibly tragic. It was very heavy when I saw Bob help carry his daughter down through the chapel.
“It was incredibly tragic but I think he handled it as well as any man could. The bravest thing I think I’ve ever seen him do is give the eulogy to his daughter who has died.”
Peaches’ cause of death is still unknown, as a post-mortem proved inconclusive and toxicology results are pending.
However, police are treating her death as “non-suspicious and unexplained".
