The nominations for the 2014 People's Choice Awards have been announced, with hit show Glee and pop princess Katy Perry leading the pack.

Glee is the most nominated TV show this year, up for a total of eight awards including Sandra Bullock also gained five nods in categories including 'Favourite Movie Actress', 'Favourite Comedic Movie Actress' and 'Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress'.

The hotly-contested 'Favourite Movie' category includes five nominees, Despicable Me 2, Fast & Furious 6, Iron Man 3, Monsters University and Star Trek Into Darkness.

The 2014 People's Choice Awards will be hosted by 2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs and takes place on January 8 next year.
