Perrie Edwards Confirms That Ex Zayn Malik DID Call Off Their Engagement By Text
Despite him denying it in the past…
In a leaked excerpt of Little Mix's new book 'Our World', Perrie has opened up about the demise of her and Zayn's engagement, which happened shortly after he left One Direction.
During her chapter, the 23-year-old revealed: "It was horrible, the worst time of my life. A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.
"Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me".
Yet, in a 2015 interview with Fader magazine, Zayn denied dumping Perrie by text. He revealed: "I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message. I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never ever end our relationship over four years like that.
"She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don't want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn't do that."
Naturally, Twitter are weighing in on the revelation with a #PerrieExposedZaynParty:
We don't know who to believe, but we DO know that Pez must be feeling rather smug after last night's X Factor show, in which they performed their aptly named new single 'Shout Out To My Ex'...
