Should Perrie Edwards Be Accused Of Cultural Appropriation Over Her Shoes? Fans Can't Decide
Perrie Edwards posted quite the innocent picture of her shoes on Instagram this week, though the internet decided otherwise.
Yep, the Little Mix singer has been accused of cultural appropriation for wearing moccasin boots, oh as well as being trolled for not having completely and utterly hair free legs.
(It's not even bare leg season yet, give us a chance yeah?)
Anyway, there's now quite the heated debate going on in the comments of said pic over her footwear choice, as one commenter wrote:
'I love them, and I love you, but I'm kinda having mixed feelings about this, moccasins are apart of a traditional Native American regalia and something like that is earned, not just given to you. They aren't just some other piece of clothing'
While on the other side of the fence is those who don't find it offensive, as another fan replied:
'I'm native American and it doesn't bother me, I'm also Latina and it doesn't bother me when people wear stuff of my culture.'
Well, what do YOU think?
