It might seem like Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande’s relationship has been a speedy one but he’s now revealed that he essentially popped the question to the singer during their very first meeting.

In an interview with GQ, the SNL comedian opened up about the love at first sight experience he had with Ariana when she appeared on the NBC show back in 2016.

Opening up about how he believes they were always meant to fall for each other, the 24-year-old said: “The universe works in strange ways. All I know is that I'm the luckiest guy in the world."

"The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" he explained. Proving that he meant what he said, Pete stuck to his guns and began sending her messages of potential engagement rings that he would one day offer her IRL.

Ariana sent back her favourite choices, to which Pete apparently replied: “Sick." Fast forward two years later and the pair havesplurged on a $16 million apartment that features five bedrooms, four baths, a massive pool, a juice bar, and their very own private cinema. Casual.

This comes after Ari paid tribute to her fiancé with track 'Pete Davidson' onnew album 'Sweetener' and follows that time she shut down reports that she'd cheated onex-boyfriend Mac Miller before officially calling time on their relationship.
